ME
My name is Ana Ibarra Jensen. I was born in Madrid the 28th of April of 1979. I now live in London where I came to study Product Design five years ago.
I studied Philosophy in Madrid. Always drawn to do something creative when I finished I came to London to study Design in Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
I create fresh solutions that answer to daily rituals and behavior. The result are products and furniture transmit emotions.
Nowadays I am working in a design studio dedicated to interior design and architecture.
MY WORK
Homie
Missing home I started to wonder what it is that transforms a space into a home. I found that home is a place where you can put your things on display, where certain rituals are repeated and where you are free to be yourself and relax. In order to transmit the feeling of being at home I concentrated in the ritual of reading in bed before going to sleep. Homy gives a warm and intimate light. All the materials were carefully chosen to give a cosy feeling. Thus Homy gives you the opportunity to feel at ease, be yourself away from everything else. A moment for you. So take your favourite book and read. Be yourself and relax .
Ninna-o
Ninna-o is a self customized cradle. Having the parents involved in the design of the cradle would transform it into a special object, something they would like to keep when their baby has up-grown it. The side panels are for you to customize. So bring the pattern you would like your cradle to have to the shop, make an order and get your own personal cradle.
Soy
‘El Duende’ is a Spanish magazine. For their 10th aniversary they invited 25 designers to do a project especially for them. They were all given an inspirational object to work from. Mine was a bottle of soja sauce. The result is a water or wine bottle with two glasses. You can pour on either side of the bottle and to emphasise this, both the bottle and the glasses, are cut at an angle.

[Duties] research of emotional attachment and its application to design products, design development of related products, product modelling and mock-ups, user testing and production of one-offs for retail purposes.
